Smith Cornell PlaquesWithin the past couple of years, Centec Cast Metal Products has worked along side Smith-Cornell Impressions, a well known and respected company which produces Graphic Plus and National Register Plaques. The Smith-Cornell Graphics Plus process is a unique photo-embedding process which permanently transfers images to an anodized aluminum metal surface. The process is unlike etched or screen printed products because the metal surface is smooth and the image does not scratch off or weather. These plaques are ideal for reproducing new or old photo images of historic structures and portraits. Graphics Plus Plaques are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use; they will not fade in sunlight. The plaque normally consists of a black image on a satin gold or satin pewter background. In some instances the process can be reversed to produce a gold or pewter image with a black background. A clear acrylic protective face is highly recommended for high traffic applications or where the possibility of vandalism or scratching of the plaque may occur. |
